An exquisite pair of Antique Victorian drop earrings (Circa 1860) made in the Etruscan style with a fabulous golden dome in the centre haloed by delicate scrolling metalwork and a rope edge frame.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the mid 1800s when ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same elaborate fashion.
Both earrings are modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold and fitted with newer stud fittings which are London hallmarked. They’re in excellent condition and display stunning workmanship.
