The Big Crown is reborn
The Oris Big Crown Pointer Date has been in constant production since 1938, and for 2025, the Holstein maker is using cheerful new colors and a bold integrated bracelet design to introduce fresh life and modernity into this beloved collection.
First introduced in 1938 as a pilot’s watch, the Big Crown has been a collection mainstay ever since, becoming Oris’s signature design. Its oversized crown was originally intended for gloved airmen but now serves a more aesthetic purpose, while the iconic pointer date function is now internationally recognized as a symbol of Oris’s mechanical inventiveness.
This reference is powered by Oris' Calibre 754, which is a three-hand automatic movement with a pointer date – a signature complication in the Oris stable. The 40mm case is fitted to a matching, multi-piece stainless steel bracelet with a new folding clasp developed exclusively by Oris.
