The Big Crown Pointer Date was introduced in 1938 as a pilot’s watch. Its signature oversized crown was originally intended for gloved airmen but now serves a more aesthetic purpose, while the iconic pointer date function is now a iconic feature of Oris. This watch celebrates the 80th anniversary of the first Big Crown and features a 40mm bronze case, a green dial, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside, and a dark brown leather strap with a bronze pin buckle clasp. The bronze material will develop a patina through oxidation that gives the watch a look that is unique to each person. The movement is visible through a mineral glass display back and a screw down crown provides 50m of water resistance. The Oris 754 movement inside this watch delivers a power reserve of 38 hours
