The Mk1 was the first iteration from the final batch of matte dials in the 5513 Submariners, often referred to as the Maxi Dials. It's a watch that we at Bulang and Sons truly appreciate and one of the most adaptable sports watches you can own – it pairs perfectly with any strap for any occasion. This particular watch is in great condition, with a lovely case. The dial is in excellent shape, with the oversized hour markers and hands having developed a subtle cream patina, which really brings the watch to life on the wrist. The oversized plots almost touch the minute markers, and dare we say “Lollipop Mk1”? This feature is more commonly seen on the later Maxi Mk3 variation. The hands are a tad darker in color, as is often seen with these models.
The bezel insert has aged to a “washed” grey, which we think gives it a unique, non-shabby look! The bracelet is an Oyster 93150 flip-lock in good condition, with 580 end links and a clasp stamped ‘H’. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
